Good Riddance to Summer
Archive: Used Bookdealer
This was an unprecedentedly bad summer for Books Do Furnish A Room.
I'm not sure it was actually unusually hot here in Durham, NC but everyone - my partner aside - seemed to think it was.
Given that all three of the store's air conditioners need to be tossed on the scrap heap and replaced it is hard for me to judge.
Online sales were equally dismal.
OK, there's the inevitable internet slump as people actually leave their computers and go out in the world to work on their skin cancers.
My what a relief it was when the academic book orders started coming in again. Even if it was only for ratty paperback copies of The Stranger.

This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
