Nigerian comic book scam

Archive: Richard Evans Lee

Nigerian scam craftsmen branch out from wholesale book buying ploys to comic books. A familiarly solemn, semiliterate email asked me to prepare this batch for shipment to Nigeria:

ADVENTURE: ASSORTED: 50COPIES (From different Publisher)
FUNNY ANIMAL: ASSORTED: 50COPIES (From different Publisher)
CRIME: ASSORTED: 50COPIES (From different Publisher)
ROMANCE:ASSORTED: 50COPIES (From different Publisher)
SUPER HERO: ASSORTED: 50COPIES (From different Publisher)

250 comics seems modest, why not 2500? Why leave out western and war comics?

Wish I could unload some of the tens of thousands of deadwood back issues we've accumulated over the years. (I've been waiting for an infomercial selling a tool to convert comics to firewood.)

Comments:

Feel free to share your feelings about Nigerian comic book scam. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted.

This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.

My thanks,
Richard
