Just sold a copy of Sarah Schulman's After Dolores to Schulman herself. I might've offered to make a gift to her of any of her other books that she might be out of (and we have in stock) but the sale was via Alibris so we can't communicate with her directly.
Nothing unusuala in selling an author one of their own works. Usually they need a copy to give as a present. I think Richard Kostelanetz was the first person with whom that happend.
