Liar or fool?
Archive: Online bookselling
I was just pricing a paperback edition of a 14th century English poet and ran across this listing:
Quality Trade Paperback AS NEW.Covers shiny, corners sharp, binding tight, pages clean.Univ of Toronto edition, edited by [name exised].Out of print from the publisher, our copy is the best available.
They want $40. You can still buy it new for $13.99 and you can buy a nice copy for half that.
Feel free to share your feelings about Liar or fool?. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted.
This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard

I got really sick of this on eBay. I think now you can leave feedback when you aren't involved in a sale, and I've often been tempted to leave a nasty note with a URL to the in-print edition of someone's “out-of-print” book. Don't people even bother to look these things up on Bookfinder or Amazon?
