Don't you hate those orders for books you've already sold?

Archive: Online bookselling

It was one of those mornings. Online orders were heavy but I couldn't find the first three books on my list of pulls.

One book, ordered by A, we'd sold a couple of years ago. For some reason A sometimes still has long sold books and properly marked as such in Homebase listed.

Another, ordered by another A had been sold by that same listing site. Supposedly whenever we sell something via them they remove it from their database. Ghosts in the machine I guess.

Book three was my fault. I remembered selling but forgot to mark it as sold. I usually admit that in my in my email apologizes to the customer who ordered it. Often I wonder if they believe or even understand when I explain that we'd sold the book and updated our records and don't have any idea why BozoBooks still shows it for sale.

Feel free to share your feelings about Don't you hate those orders for books you've already sold?. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted.

This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.

My thanks,
