Eddie was a boy, but he believed inside that he was a girl

Eddie Araujo' murderers hopefully will face justice (i.e., be put to death). Anyone whose read my personal weblog know that I regard transgendered persons with esteem and affection. I do wish they wouldn't play foolish games and that 'bad boys' are often the deadly boys.

Angry shouts of "Are you a woman or a man?" escalated to murder, fueled by the explosive combination of insecurity and "tough guy" personas, the prosecutor said.

"Make no mistake about it, Eddie's death was an execution," said Lamiero, who used female pronouns when referring to Araujo as "Gwen" or "Lida," the names she went by, but male pronouns when talking about Araujo as a victim.

"When they discovered that Eddie was Eddie, they felt that they had been deceived," Lamiero said during his two-hour opening statement at the Hayward Hall of Justice. "And they decided ... that the wages of Eddie Araujo's sin of deception were death."

Comments

What ever happened to the defendants in the eddie araujo case. How can I read about it.

i find all of this rathr disturbing. i mean i was born in fremont and lived in newark until i was 11. it wasn’t right for those men to kill an innocent person just because of the fact the she was a girl. when i first heard about it my heart stopped. i couldn’t believe it. all i can say is that gwen is in a better place right now and i hope she likes it.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Eddie was a boy, but he believed inside that he was a girl. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
