Even back in the day before my lover was a trans-person I tried to control my disgust at the average person's - heterosexual and homosexual - response to the differently gendered. But there are days when I just wish you would all burn in Hell.

Yes, it is stupid that a tranny girl would pretend to be a biological female. And it may make your soulless body vomit. Nothing, nothing ever gives you the right to kill one of the gender-wounded. Their conflict goes much deeper than your concern over what you'll be watching on TV tonight. Hopefully from your death cell.

Anytime that one tricks someone else into doing (anything), and that someone else (for whatever reason) wouldent normally do, or worse finds repulsive the act they were tricked into. you can expect violent reactions. For instance if you were tricked into killing your mother, how would you treat the trickster? Or if you were tricked into divorcing your wife/husband. You see its not how you view the transgenderd person that matters, its the fact that person was a trickster out to decive. I would bet even money that the tranny in this situation was targeting or attracted to males that didnt understand/accept...it was part of her/his game. Do I belive he deserved to die?...no I dont... Do I belive he knew the chances he was taking, enjoyed the risk, and was using the boys he was with to "get his fix".....yes

Your examples sound like something out of a bad thriller. I've written more than one article deporing transsexuals and transvestites who play that foolish deadly game. Her foolishness doesn't leave me any less disgusted with the men who murdered her. Having had many trans friends and transgendered lover I've steadily grown to despise the average person's responses. Just as I do, though to a lesser degree to people who think, say, BDSM is sick.

Two things really disturb me about this. One is that some men think is is okay to injure, and in this case kill, someone who threatened their precious (and clearly homophobic) male identity. As a man I find men as weak as this utterly beneath contempt. They are the lowest of the low. Almost as repugnant is the prospect of a defence lawyer suggesting that somehow the victim was responsible for her own death. Even if some damage had been done to these "men," and I am referring to the attackers here, there is a concept accepted in any fair society of "reasonable response." If someone threatens you with lethal force you have a right to respond, and if that person dies as a result, then most societies will absolve you of blame; if someone threatens you with having to think about your sexuality, and you kill that person for it, then that is plain old first -degree murder and you should never step out of jail for the rest of your natural life. At least. For a lawyer to muddy the water in this way is immoral, despicable and unforgiveable. R

Responding to Richard: You're right, but it's a disease that is deep-rooted in society. The fact is that many acts of wanton and casual violence, as opposed to violence carried out for other reasons such as theft, which are just as bad but not the issue here, are the result of men's insecurity about their own sexuality, often assisted by alcohol, and frequently targeting minorities either racial, ethnic, or in this case of gender. Our courts need to start coming down a _lot_ harder on violent males. I've been doing a bit of research recently because I'm writing a book that touches on transexualism, and I have been sickened by accounts of what straight men think it's okay to do to TG women. One site talking about experiences of a sex-tourist in Thailand goes into graphic and enthusiastic detail about how he watched a drunk Australian lager-lout beat the living crap out of a kathoey once his sick brain figured that it was okay because she "was not a real girl." Yeah, right. And just as vile is that according to the writer none of the other "men" present (including himself) did anything other than laugh. Men: You do not have the right to hit other people unless they are already hitting you, or are about to and _then_ you are only allowed to match force with force. Beating up someone weaker than you is _never_ okay. End of story. Get it? R.

It wasn’t until I got on the web years ago that I discovered that I could be attracted to transgendered people (something that I’ve written about too often in Pansexual Sodomite to go into here). As I got to know transvestites and transsexuals the contempt they face was a revelation. Even sadly, say, heterosexual crossdresser who look down on gay ones. But more so the latent sadism that men often allow to come out in dealing with transgendered people. (Sometimes matched by a corresponding masochism in the transgendered person causing to believe that some transgendered genetic males have a peculiarly sexist male image of femininity.) It shouldn’t have been that much of a surprise. The femme boys I’ve always been attracted to often faced similar growing up: abused in school, treated with contempt by their father. So this sort of ill treatment female-identified, biologically male people has hurt almost every lover I’ve had.

To Richard: I'm sorry for that. Gwen Araujo's murder was horrible, but people would be very much mistaken if they thought for a minute that it was isolated. Her murder got the publicity it did, and rightly, because it happened in the US. I wish it were not true, but TG's die violent deaths _every day_, and most of them not only don't get noticed, they don't even get investigated. The stats make depressing reading. The life expectancy for TG's in most of the world is desperately short. I wish I could change that. I wish I didn't know that Camilla de Castro, a famous Brazilian TG, had jumped out of an 8th story window just a few weeks ago. I wish I didn't know about her and Gwen and all the others, because it hurts and I can do _nothing_. If I see a child dying of hunger in Africa, I can make a contribution. I can send some money, I can donate to charity. I can assuage my guilt. A beautiful young person is beaten to death or dies because of her lifestyle or commits suicide or submits to drugs and alcohol till she just passes away because the dark things haunt her too often, and I can do nothing. I can't even contribute. Where is the High Street charity collecting to assist vulnerable TG street prostitutes in Rio? I met my first transgendered women when I was at Art School sometime back in the dark ages, and most of them said that the Art School bar was the only place they could go and be themselves without getting beaten up. One of them I remember very well, she was really sweet and frankly very attractive. I think we gave her and her friends a place where they felt safe and could relax, and I am happy to have been part of that. It was a very small contribution and a selfish conceit, I know, but still. This whole case sounds strange. I may be wrong, but it sounds like these guys knew that Gwen was TG before they had sex with her. And they WANTED to have sex with her. And they couldn't handle that. So they killed her. So sad.

What bothers me the most, is that when many T ladies are confronted with violent men, they seem to forget that despite how feminine they present themselves or how feminine they feel, they are still Men. They were raised as men, learned to deal with the world as men. I go out on a regular basis, i pass, but my biological sex has been discovered a few times. I taught the few violent, unprincipaled men that tried to "punish" me for fooling them( read: making fools of them), i taught them in their Own language, the language of violence, Not to underestimate the transgendered. I think Bowie said it well, " Dresses like a queen but kicks like a mule, it's a real mean team." We may well be sissies, but we dont have to be punks.

Homophobia does not kill. Homophobia shoved into a homophobic can. Lets put this another way. Say you tricked a Muslim into Eating pork, a Sin of All sins to them. In your eyes, you you tricked him into eating a banned food. In his eyes, you just Damned his Eternal soul. In fact, he might be willing to kill you now. I am not defending the killer, however. He must have KNOWN that some people would react this way. And think on this. Men who find out they had sex with Transgendered people often end up with drug problems, lifelong anxieties, sexual dysfunction, and sometimes commiting suicide. What gives the transgendered the right to Gamble with the long term emotional well being of others? Personaly, I might not have killed her/him, but to be honest, most likely a broken jaw, a snapped femur, and one seriously demented face. Fucking fool me??? Take your beating like a man...... Homophobia is clearly a negative thing. So it tricking homophobics into having same sex relations. Thats like kicking a pittbull tied up, and when it gets loose and bites you, your cry "mad dog". Manslaughter I. At best. If he went home, ordered shit online, went back, gave her/him laced drugs, dragged her unconcious out into the woods and buried her alive, Id say murder. I am far from homophobic, but if I found out i was involved with a GUY and I was not told, a seriously life threatening beating would be in order.

Interesting idea, that men who have sex with trans girls (which I have yet to figure out how they could do it without knowing, unless it's oral. I mean, don't you guys look where you're aiming?!?!) Will spend their lives in recovery from it. I know a lot of guys who are in constant recovery from girls breaking their hearts, and the same with girls and guys. In the end, the sex was still sex. It only bothers you if you let it bother you.
