Fundagelical
• Richard Evans Lee
Just made the acquaintance of a nifty if inelegant neologism: Fundagelical. Condensing the worst the imagination suggests by evangelical and fundamentalist Christianity: inflated moralizing, hatred of science, crude celebration of greed, will to confine the lives of others to their pinched notions of ethics. People who pound their supposedly inerrant Bible. Self-satisfaction hiding behind a timid humility of a God who is even more mean-spirited than are they themselves.
Thanks, again, to the Daily Trudge.
