Psychic scams in San Francisco

Psychics & Other Frauds

"I was a sitting duck because my sister had leukemia at the time," says Cindy. To remove the alleged curse on her sister she began paying $400, $500, $600 for candles, prayer cards, rosaries, crystals and holy water. "They say they are specially blessed, they come from the Vatican."

Fortune Takers: Beware of Psychic Fraud

Comments

Psychic fraud alert!!! If anyone can provide advice please help! I paid a psychic name Helena thousands of dollars for candles, prayers...etc. she was on KGO New Year's predictions years ago. I stopped talking to her 2 years ago, but, she won't stop, I just found out that there's a collection agency account on my credit report and it's from her, said I own her thousand dollars. she is in East Bay, claimed she is catholic....A lawyer keeps writing letter to threaten me and up several hundred dollars every month. I don't have any income, can't afford an attorney to resolve it.
Sin-dee: I got some advice: QUIT BEING A NUKKA! You got some receipts on the bull-shizzzle you bought? Did you pay up? No? Then you're fizzled, nizzle! Yr afraid of a curse so you hire a curse-master and you want to know why you're in deep doo-doo? Why'ncha hit the lights & quit playin in the dark, love? Here's a quick map: 1. Nobody can stay when somebody with the light tells them they have to go. 2. Nobody with the light will alter the natural course. 3. The natural course may hurt, but it's very very true & won't deceive you. Dig it? So buck up, look for the light, & quit the 'fraidy cat attitude. You've invited some serious bad news into your personal paper. Time for the white-out, nukka! Left-hand path in the house say "YEAH!"

My friend owned a psychic center and used and rare bookstore in Canada in the 1980's.One day the police came in wanting to question one of his psychics for fraud. It seems she had taken $5,000 dollars from a woman. My friend called her at home. She told the police that the woman had payed the money to curse her son-in-law to death and that if she pressed charges, that fact would come out in court. The lady dropped the charges.
Hi All, I want to warn everybody of a psychic in San Francisco that scammed me out of thousands and thousands of dollars. I think she has scammed probably around twenty thousand dollars from me. I am embarrassed, but would rather have everyone warned of her. She has also scammed thousands of other 'clients' as well. Her name is Mama Gloria and she lives at 1645 Judah St. and 20-23rd ave. in the Sunset District. Her telephone number is (415)665-1515. Please do not ever go to her, even for a small reading. She will drive you into debt to buy her diamond jewelry even if you do not have any money to feed yourself. She doesn't deliver what she promises and her predictions are wrong. In fact, she gives bad advice and has made many situations worse from following her advice. She is not psychic, she just knows how to read your mind from the clues she gives off. She will extract information from you and not own up to the mistakes she continually makes in 'helping you'. All I have learned is that we are in control of our lives and no one can solve your problems, which is a huge relief. There are no such things as curses, unless you believe yourself to be cursed. If we live in love, light, and harmony; everything you want will come to you. The thought of trying to get my money back has crossed my mind, but I would rather start living my life from the begginning. With light and love and forgiveness.
I received many letters from different psychics in the past. The last one is called JOAN MARIE. It is letter with the same format as the previouss ones with different name and predictions. I now it is a scam, because they don't tell anything really personal, only generalizations. I read in another website a message from a woman that pay to Joan Marie and what she received in return were just a bunch of affirmations. Please be awere that this JOAN MARIE is another name for that famouss scamist called Maria DUVAL. The first letter I received was from her.
I would like to know if anyone has any information on spellcasting scams.... Any companies to avoid - that are frauds? LET ME KNOW PLEASE
First of all , why dont you people wake up and relize that american and canadian psychics are all frauds. They are out there to prey on the broken hearted , till the IRS catches up with them. I have seen and witness real magic happening back in my parents' country (trinidad). I have seen lovers reunite , people healed , curses set on someone , people die of curses , a woman acting like a snake (gave me nightmares). The voodoo I seen , was unbelievable. Nothing compared to what those scammers claim. I seen results in 1 day sometimes a week sometimes a month. nkelly21@msn.com
I just got a scam letter from "Joan Marie" promising "88 days" of good luck if I send her $19.95. In the letter she claims 27 years as a psychic, which changes to "almost 30 years of experience" two pages later. The funniest thing is her picture, a nice, matronly lady I estimate to be about 65 y.o. This would mean she didn't get started till well into her 40s, which is kinda late to discover abilities. I'm going to take this crap to the Post Office and see if they can do anything. Or maybe I can turn her in to the IRS. That would be poetic justice.
Oh dear, #12, you spent your hard earned money at Laura Bushnell's too - I am so sorry. She was enthusiastically recommended to me by a co-worker six, maybe seven years ago. I was 36 years old, widowed almost three years, and Laura was very kind and soothing, she made me feel relaxed and good, and she kept holding out more "readings"and "Techniques" for me to indulge myself in, and the prices just got higher and higher. I wound up meeting someone, and we went to see her, both seperately and together, and her readings were so off the mark it was scary. She said we would not be together (we are) that we would not live near the beach (we did for 5 years), and that she saw me surrounded by children (my tubes are tied and I am not a teacher). So....let's just say a few thousand dollars later, I was disenchanted with Lady Laura. I bought candles from her that, when I started dabbling in essential oils, realized were made with synthetic oils, and if one is going to practice rituals, synthetics are a no-no (plus, her candles were $45 each - ouch!)....it went on and on and on. Never experienced the "Virgin Mary Breast Milk" yarn, though. Wow. I actually confronted her awhile back via e-mail and told her I thought she was a con. It felt good to admit that I was a vulnerable idiot and got conned. It makes me laugh to see reviews of her new book saying that she can heal anger, and you can go to her with any problem - let me tell you, she got pretty outraged when I expressed my anger towards her. Bottom line, Bushnell is all about the money, and self-promotion. She is a REALLY good con artist, so anybody out there tempted to go to her, please don't. You will just wind up feeling stupid and a little lighter in the wallet.
The next two small paragraghs are two fake positive reviews posted on the Barnes and Noble website BY LAURA BUSHNELL HERSELF, about her OWN book!!Bushnell seems to be an accomplished manipulator and liar. her website is www.magicklady.com. """"Ann, a professional woman from LA, January 22, 2006, A Truly Healing Book What an amazing book !! At times I admit I was skeptical, but now must admit that the rituals in the book really worked for me. I have never read a book that touched me so deeply and had such a profound impact on my life. This is a great 'New Years Resolution' book for anyone who wants to improve their life or to resolve some issues. I read the other review and was quite shocked at its negativity considering what a loving and healing book this was. I highly recommend 'Life Magic'. A reviewer, January 18, 2006, Every page is full of light This book is not only for someone who may feel stuck and need some help but also for the advanced and well read spiritual seekers. I found every page full of insight. All my friends will buy it!!""""
If Laura Bushnell claims to have spent time with Mother Teresa than she should have to prove it. She should also have to prove that the religious artifacts that she mentions in her book LIFE MAGIC are authentic. Her website is at magicklady.com
Check out this article out money that was donated for cancer charity was spent on services for the psychic Laura Bushnell aka magicklady.com. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/11/18/BUGV89T72O1.DTL&type=business
Laura Bushnell nominated for Bent Spoon Award. http://www.skeptics.com.au/spoon/nominations.htm
Laura Bushnell in her book LIFE MAGIC says that Mother Mary gave her a special version of the rosary called the "mystic rosay".
