M.R. DeHaan's Radio Bible Class
Archive: Christian Fundamentalism
I’m at work pricing Christian books. When I got to Portraits of Christ in Genesis I knew the author’s name, M.R. DeHaan tugged at my memory. When I saw that the book was copyrighten in the name of the Radio Bible Class it all came book. My daddy listened to DeHaan regularly. Liked him well enough to send him a check every month.
Checking Amazon I see there’s a “M.R. De Haan Classic Library.” A surprise, usually books by the radio and TV evangelists are quickly and forever forgotten.

Last month I ordered “Broken things, Why we suffer” via: email to Scripture Truth Book Do.;
and it was never sent.
If possible, I would like to re-order 5 copies.
This has been a most helpful booklet for me, and others who are hurting.
Thank you,
Please send to: 3130 Louise Ave.

I listened to Radio Bible Class on WSB radio in Atlanta in the 1970s and 80s. The teaching was respectful of listeners’ intellects. No loud talk and no bashing. They presented a “reformist” view of Christianity but did not trash particular Christian denominations. Their daily devotional guide “Our Daily Bread” is still available for purchase. It, too, is practical and loving, while presenting the doctrines of Christianity with conviction.
Some names to search for on the web are founder M. R. DeHaan, M.D. and teacher Paul R. Van Gorder.
Feel free to say something about M.R. DeHaan's Radio Bible Class.
Please keep your comment on topic.
I'm a happily gay atheist. Homophobic, racist comments and conversion attempts are deleted.
Disagreement is fine but hate speech won't be tolerated. Even if you share my prejudices I'd rather you not insult other people who leave comments here.
This is a personal hobby and shouldn't be confused with a more general sort of public forum or chatroom. you'd like to know more about me check about page.
Thanks, Richard

Hi…i’m not sure what this site is all about. i see it is a blog, so that must mean conservative point of view, right?
i might suggest that you double check your spelling…i know it is easy to overlook some things, but re-read and you will see that you meant to say, “it all came back,” not “it CALL came back,” and “he listened to it regularly,” not “he LISTED to it regularly.”
Not being critical…as you will notice that i use a small “i” when referring to myself. That is not a spelling error, it is a choice to indicate that “i” am not a great ego…
i just found this site when looking for the main RBC web pages, so i’m not sure what this is all about, though i have heard a lot about blogs lately…thanks, sandi
