Australian Anglicans conservative homophobes

Homophobia

Australian Anglican prelates say only their magic powers can make the wine and bread into the body of Christ. Fans of the New Testament have been known to be so unkind as to note there's nothing backing up the clergy's claims in the text they often say their silly beliefs are based on.

The Sydney diocese's covert practice of allowing lay people to consecrate and distribute the bread and wine of the Eucharist is likely to stay covert, with the Anglican Church parliament soundly refusing to condone the controversial practice yesterday.

Church takes dim view of lay role

Of course homos like myself as even more contemptible than laymen who do the hoodoo with the wafers and wine.

Australia's Anglicans yesterday rejected blessing gay marriages and ordaining ministers in gay relationships, voting to uphold the traditional position that sex outside marriage is wrong.

An illustration of how you just can't win:

"I find wilful contradiction arises when we say to people, 'you can only have sex in marriage, but we are not permitting you to marry'."

Anglicans oppose gay clergy, gay marriage

Just what are the Anglicans position on anal sex, cunnilingus and fellatio?

"Even St Thomas Aquinas condemned what are now many normal heterosexual practices as a form of sodomy and therefore a mortal sin," Mrs Porter said.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Australian Anglicans conservative homophobes. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
