Pittsburgh man claims to know location of Holy Grail & Ark of the Covenant
• The Da Vinci Code , • Wishful Thinking
David Conley claims the stuff and legends (and The Da Vinci Code) are hidden under Scotland's Rosslyn Chapel. Mr Conley also believes he is a descendant of Hugues de Payens , first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Being able to trace your genealogy back 800 years would be impressive were it believable. Unsurprisingly the group that controls the chapel has already checked to see if any antiquities are hidden on their grounds.
He says archaeologists should be allowed to carry out electronic examinations under the vaults of the 15th century chapel to find out if ancient relics are buried there.
David Conley believes the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant and ancient scrolls which date back to the time of Christ may be hidden beneath the Midlothian church.
He claims he has approached the Rosslyn Chapel Trust, which refused to let him arrange for archeologists to use the scanning equipment at the church.
