Our Lady of Emmitsburg

Wishful Thinking

The Virgin Mary told Gianna Talone-Sullivan that all the fish in the world will die. The Vatican wasn't amused.

Just fyi... The Blessed Mother told Gianna Sullivan that many fish would die...never said ALL fish.
I suggest that one look at the evidence. Why wouldn't the Blessed Mother appear to people nowadays? You must have faith. You must know in your heart if it's true or not. But, you can look at objective evidence and use deductive reasoning. Gianna is either lying, telling the truth, or delusional. She is a devout Catholic who moved from Arizona to Maryland along with her husband at the bequest of the Blessed Mother. Her husband and her opened up a medical clinic to serve the underpriveleged in the Emmitsburg area. That's what they do for a living now. She is getting no monetary gain (nor fame) from this. She has never been on national TV or anything plugging her cause. She is obviously not lying therefore (no motive). Thus, she must be either telling the truth, or crazy. If she's crazy, that would be very surprising. Her craziness has not prevented her from having a husband and family, nor from successfully operating a medical clinic for the underpriveleged. Her husband also agreed to move to Maryland and begin a new vocation at the request of the Blessed Mother. I believe there is enough evidence to rule out her being crazy. That leaves only one possibility: she is telling the truth. That was deductive reasoning. As Sherlock Holmes stated, eliminate the impossible, and whatever remains, however improbable, is the truth.
For the actual Public Messages of Our Lady of Emmitsburg visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/oloe/ . By doing so, you can find out what she has actually said for yourself and not be influenced by the very probable likelihood of being mislead someone's interpretation or judgement. This is not to say that all commentators are unreasoning - nay, some actually clarify, offer discernment, and reason correctly or consistent with the reality of objective truth. But, however, this does admit that there can be differences of opinion. From these varied opinions can spring a dialog which ultimately clarifies issues and edifies all. This is not unlike the process by which papal encyclicals are created. In Our Salvific Savior, pro-oloe
On the subject of the Lady of Emmitsburg and seer Gianna...well, I have met this lady through a bit of a divine intervention and I find her very normal. A great mom, loving wife and caring person. She actually shys from the limelight and is only the vehicle by which our Lady speaks to the hearts of all of us. Anyone who has ever visited Emmitsburg, especially the Grotto area of our Lady of Lourdes has to know the peace and serenity there. It is felt and known to the souls of so many. Well...such serenity must be from our Holy Mother. She is so ever present in more ways than one. Just talk to the pilgrims who come there. so, why wouldn't she make herself present to an ordinary person. She has done this to holy priests, infirmed ladies and dying people...many who have been healed in one way or another. As for Our Lady of Emmitsburg...she is there. Believe.
