Baba rolls 2,500 km to reach Amritsar

AMRITSAR: Clad in a lion cloth and powered by an indomitable willpower, Baba Mohan Das (55) or Lotan Baba, who is a Guiness book record holder, reached Amritsar on Wednesday evening. However, his plans to roll into Pakistan via Wagah land border to pay obeisance at Nankana Sahib and Hindu temples have hit a roadblock. He doesn't possess the requisite travel documents.
According to Swami, the Baba left home at 12, and undertook penance for 12 years by standing at one place and eating grass. He spent nine months in a cave and would come out only once in a month to bless his followers.
