SC Senator Mike Fair: Darwin "foolish"

Wearisome Bedfellows

The Republican from Greenville, irritated that a study done for the Fordham Foundation gave South Carolina an "A" for how well it teaches evolution, is challenging the premise of Darwin's widely accepted theory. He bases his argument on the fact that no one was there when life began to make a scientific observation about it.

High marks on evolution instruction upset Fair

Comments

The Senator from S. Carolina sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Buckminster Fuller supplied the definitive proof of the fallacy of darwinian evolution in his book, SYNERGETICS-EXPLORATIONS IN THE GEOMETRY OF THINKING. The "bottom line" is "darwin's theory of evolution is an illusion that debilitates elementary education". There is MUCH more to the book than that, however. It is now out of print but can be read and downloaded at www.rwgrayprojects.com
One can imagine Bucky Fuller's delight in being turned into a support for right-wing Christian nonsense. Not that Fuller himself wasn't a master of gaseous generalization and fatuous simplifications.
