Many people, especially secular liberals, misunderstand the nature of religion in politics—which is, to be fair, ever shifting. I am an Atheist Republican, which debunks the myth that all atheists vote democratic. I just wish we hadn't been hijacked by religous cronies like Pat Robertson(i.e. the Osama bin Ladin of Christianty)

I suspect people who are Republicans for secular reasons like economic and military policy may find themselves seeing more and more evangelical activity in their party. But no political persuasian is without its unwanted bedfellows.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Myth 1: Evangelicals all vote Republican. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments.
