Giggling Mormons

Wearisome Bedfellows

The pious can excuse anything (not that I think nude dancers or escorts are bad in any sense) if it'll bring in some money.

They were mostly red-faced and giggling while they did it, but Utah House members Friday approved a special 10 percent tax on nude dancing and escort services.

House Bill 239 would generate an estimated $500,000 the first year and $1 million annually thereafter if imposed on certain sexually explicit businesses, according to legislative budget analysts.

Comments

I find it ironic that a supposed learned person as yourself would solicit comments from people who agree with your views, yet blantantly tell people who write "homophobic, racist and conversion attempts" they will be deleted. "Speak up, as long as you agree with me," eh? The oldest contradiction in the book, my gay athiest friend. What's worse is you and your friends probably think you're liberated, rather than just pathetically misguided. Sad.
There are literally hundreds of comments on this weblog by Christians and new agers that I disagree with. As long as the comments aren't homophobic, racist or try to convert me I leave them in.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Giggling Mormons. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
