News flash: Saddam Hussein not Antichrist

Superstitious Folly

Fundamentalists are always pointing to someone as The Antichrist.

It wasn't too long ago that Saddam Hussein was considered by some Bible-prophecy students to possibly be the final "man of sin" and global dictator. As late as March of this year, fundamentalist pastor and "end-times" buff Irvin Baxter insisted that Saddam Hussein was Abaddon, or Apollyon, the "Destroyer" spoken of in Revelation 9:11. ...

I duuno-if I were a fundamentalist christian, I'd seriously be looking at GWB as the antichrist incarnate. A happy new year to you, Richard-and thanks for helping to keep my mind virus-free for another year! Terri
Ok you guys are kidding. The Antichrist? Look Saddam is a guy who was brought up in a different culture. The way he came to power was through force. The way he kept power was by war. The US funded and Armed him for a long time. GWB is far from the Antichrist himself. He is simply doing what he feels he should. Now I am not going to defend a war against anyone or by anyone. But most who are attacking GWB are doing it for the wrong reasons. They wish they had Clinton back in office. While I acknowledge the brilliance of Clinton, all he wanted was to be president for 8 years. He never did anything except play with monica and her beret. You can say that the economy was so great, but did he really do anything to cause that? I never saw or heard of one move that truly helped the economy under clinton. He just was in office during a big bang. Now on every big upswing there is a downswing. In fact Clinton could have done things to minimize the downswing that we are going through right now. GWB is no great president but I would prefer a person of action rather than a spectator like clinton.
I'm sorry that you all were exposed to the terribly incorrect theory that SH is the Anti-Christ. The book of Revelations states that the Anti-Christ will first come as a man of peace, later he will show his true colors as deceiver. So clearly he can't be the one. I'm not preaching this is just an explaination. You'll understand later, trust me.
