Neighbor complained of a foul odor

A Hargis community woman, Myra Foreman, 51, kept the decomposing body of her late husband, Charles Foreman, 54, in their manufactured house for a month.

Grant Parish sheriff's deputies investigated after a neighbor complained of a foul odor.

Charles Foreman died from natural causes sometime in July. His wife told sheriff's detectives she refused to bury her husband because "the face of the devil" came on him or his face was turned into the devil's.

She added that she protected her husband from supernatural beings that came to the house at night.
