Faith Tabernacle Congregation

Superstitious Folly

In the last 10 years, several members of Faith Tabernacle Congregation have faced criminal charges when their children died or became gravely ill.

Only God, they say, can heal. Physicians and medicine are forbidden.

Comments

I think Faith Tabernacle is really a good organisation Read your bible to understand that those who had trusted in Medicine failed completely.
faith tabernacle congregation is one of the true church of christ that has not been polluted by the evil and satanic wind blowing across the globe, especially in the churches now. I will advise any person interested in hearing the undiluted words of christ and the true faith to pay a visit to any of the church branches world wide.
The worship of God should be based on the understanding of the individual or organisation. The practice of full faith in God is the only way on can be sure of good health. Leaning on the 'hand of man' is backing God. He made man, so is ther anything He cannot do?.
Hi, fellas, I am from Singapore and I have recently get to know this little christian sect. Frankly as a secular humanist I am appalled by the fact that a mother can actually deny her children much needed medical care in times of a medical crisis. This religious fanaticism has gone too far. Are they also the so called "pro-life" christians who claim that abortion is murder? well I tell you what, the act of rejecting medical aid for a child is a much more heinous act. I know I may sound a bit rude, but this is my opinion. Feel free to email me if you have any disagreements. Regards Wolverine
hello friends i am a 20 year old boy from nigerian and i am a faith tarbernacle member in nigeria and i tell you there is no crime in believing in god for your healing, would you believe that all twenty year i have lived i have never tasted any medicene niether do i know wat any of cures or such things, and yet i am healthy and kicking on fine, friends. medicine does not give you life but god gives life, lets take for instance now, if you had an accident and you are taken to hospital and god had assigned that you will die from that accident . can any type of medication bring you back to live??
i would like to hear from a single christian male above the age of 38 years old. i am a single mother(going through a amicial divorce)my daughter is 15yrs old. I live in the southern united states of america. i saw the goings on over there in nigeria and felt like reaching out. i love the strenght and determination i witnessed and would like to know more.
Saying that every other church has been polluted makes you sound like the Mormons. Saying you're the only true church makes you sound close minded. God created man with all their intellegence and talent and abilities. Why wouldn't he give them the wisdom to heal and give life??? I'm in school right now, majoring in veterinary medicine, and I think it's the most spiritual part of my life I've ever been in. To see haw intrecately God has made everything, down to the tiny cells that run us, some of which have functions we don't even understand yet is absolutely incredible. I go to the doctor. I have an acute injury I take medicine for, and every day I pray that God will continue to work through it to heal me, and He is. Saying God doesn't work through doctors limits an all-powerful, all-knowing and completely compassionate God.
Hi, I want to say that Faith Tarbernacle is one of the living true church that preach the true gospel of jesus christ. I am a member, and since i was born now am 22years i have never gone to hospital or been injected. Any body who believe in God and medicate is not a true believer. Peopel should not say what they are not sure about Faith Tarbernacle until they attend the church. I thank God for been a member of the church.
I personally believe in divine healing, that God is Almighty. He created the universe and so can manipulate it to His glory. For a little over two decades of my life,I have never had any medication of any sort, but this doesn't make me agree to the fact that everybody who medicates is an unbeliever. It is only a case of measure of faith which I believe is a gift from God.
I attended Faith Tabernacle for 19 years. Sad to say, I was also a member. Myself, I've never taken medication or had any shots. Praise God that I am very healthy and strong. People that DO take medication for ailments should not be criticized or judged for their salvation. 'Judge not, lest you will be judged.' The whole medication thing is not just a teaching of the church, other churches in the US teach/preach the same on this subject. However, other teachings of the church are contrary to God's word as they have developed their own 'church doctrine' over the years. To have a TV or watch tv is a sin. Same with the radio as these devices are/can be used for non-Christ like entertainment. Pastors have had radios removed from their cars and even had the tuner boards cut out of stereo receivers in their homes. Associating or being friends with anyone (Christian or non-Christian) outside of the Faith Tabernacle church attenders is also considered a sin. What happened to letting your light shine and not hiding it under a bushel? 'Be a light out in this darkened world.' People that don't attend the sect are classified as 'worldly' and are not associated with. Anyone who left Faith Tabernacle is considered in a class lower than 'worldly' and are condemed unless they come back to the church. Man, there is so much more that points to 'cultish.'

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Faith Tabernacle Congregation. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
