The Humanlight symbol, a sunburst surrounding the figure of a person with upraised arms

Skeptics & Atheists

LITTLE FALLS - It had all the trappings of a holiday party - decorations, candlelight, songs, and a message about the significance of the season. Some wore festive clothes, and dinner plates were piled high with turkey, meatballs, rice, chicken, and vegetables.

But the Humanlight celebration held Sunday was not about a divine birth in Bethlehem or candles burning for eight days. Humanlight, created by secular humanists who do not subscribe to religious doctrines, focuses on reason and intellect as the way humans can be nourished and preserved.

Holiday gets a secularist spin

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about The Humanlight symbol, a sunburst surrounding the figure of a person with upraised arms. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
