Evolutionary theory & history site angers creationists

University of California Museum of Paleontology at Berkeley has created an evolutionary theory website aimed at helping science teachers. The Institute for Creation Research is peeved.

Ellen Simms, UC Berkeley professor of integrative biology and evolutionary ecologist, said it makes sense for the paleontology museum to advocate evolution on its Web site

"The UCMP is a scientific institution, and the fact of evolution and the theories associated with it are scientific, while creationism it not. So it was entirely appropriate for UCMP to focus solely on evolution," Simms said.

[John] Rajca [of the ICR], though, said it is such an attitude that creates a negative view of creationism.

A negative view of creationism?? *gasp*

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Evolutionary theory & history site angers creationists. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
