This is an anti-theist, anti-lunacy weblog

Richard Evans Lee

Been a long time since I made a meta-post about Gullibility isn't in the dictionary.

Sometimes I feel almost vexed when nice Christians visit. Not that I want the ugly ones back.

To me Christianity is whatever someone that calls himself Christian feels that it is.

I'm not interested in "true" Christianity. Which since I live in America usually means salvation by grace, Trinitarianism, &etc. I'm fairly well acquainted with various mainline and fundamentalist doctrines.

Though I don't read about it as much as I once did I am not unfamiliar with Church history and even a little bit of liturgics.

Aside from its political power and omnipresence I have no more brief against Christianity than I do Bigfoot and flying saucers.

Conversations about this don't interest me at all anymore. Genuinely curious people can consult the About page.

In a very strange sense there is no such thing as a true religion. Once the founding prophet dies it becomes the religion of the prophet's followers who will invariably create something new out of it. Indeed, rather than talk about Christianity we should talk about Christianities--as many as there are individual practitioners. In other words, Fundamentalism does not exist. Religion is nothing more than the state of mind of the person practicing it.
Prophets, founders, religions, faiths, Christianities, followers and their states of mind are only mocked here. Fuzzy-minded efforts to appear to be a deep thinker on these topics only gets a giggle.
Outstandling blog! I'm glad I found it. I just added it to my RSS aggregator and BlogRoll. Keep up the good work.
God does exist, but not as most people belive. Just as humans and all living things have souls or electromagnetic energy that animates the matter that we call our body, God exists as the "soul" of this planet. God could even exist as the "soul" of the galaxy or universe. But I do believe that God has no interest in religions. Religions are responsible for more hatred, strife, murder, and problems than anything contrued by man - and this would never be the intention of God.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about This is an anti-theist, anti-lunacy weblog. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
