My Premises

Richard Evans Lee

I'd sworn I'd do less cutting and pasting. Or rather more commenting with my cutting and pasting.

But often time presses. Other parts of life calls.

And this is produced for those of you who share at least some of my premises.

Belief is best confined to events and experiences that can be subjected to a double blind placebo controlled test. Or as close as one can get to it.

Faith is weakness.

Doubt is sanity.

Fundamentalism is one of the great psychic diseases of our time.

Theocracy is wrong.

Science beats wishful thinking and hope.

If I could put all true believers in nonsense on a rocket and send them to another - if uninhabitable planet - I would.

Thanks for reading.
