I find myself in the odd position of acquiring a few humane Christian readers. I'm very much the Village Atheist and have enjoyed taking casual, often unfair swipes at Christianity. But never in front of my Christian friends (well, OK, almost never). Why a Christian would read an atheist weblog sort of baffles me. But, then again, I enjoy reading the KJV Bible and certain Christian writers for the beauty of their prose and the elegance of their thoughts (even if I don't agree with the latter at all). I even found myself posting an explanation of my feelings about Christianity in my personal weblog (mostly I keep all commentary there).

Actually I had to moderate my tongue when I met Charles, the guy I live with. Charles is a third generation liturgical organist. His family has supplied the Episcopal Church with musicians, priests and even land for generations. Charles isn't exactly pious but there are times when the Eucharist is one of the most important parts of his life. And even I am delighted that he recently found a church he is happy with; proud that he's become an organist for an all-black church (we're both honkies).

Although it was a sure test of gullibility a page claiming that fellatio cures breast cancer went in my sexuality weblog. Someone at North Carolina State University put together something that would appear to be a CNN webpage to anyone who didn't look closely. This 'meme' is propagating quickly as I'm seeing hits from Google looking for this unlikely miracle cure. In a few days I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't become as popular as searches for Avlimil and dogging.
