Warding off Jews for Jesus

Religious Intolerance

The group generally targets Jews who are not formally associated with a synagogue or temple, have not been particularly observant of their faith and are relatively unsophisticated in Jewish theology. Still they remain proud to be Jews and want to be loyal to their tradition.

Jews for Jesus plays on precisely those sentiments, telling potential converts that they can remain Jewish and worship Jesus.

That's the outrageous contradiction that appropriately infuriates much of the Jewish community but nevertheless seduces some of its more vulnerable members. The antidote is an informed Jewish community that knows and is comfortable with its own sacred history.

Feel free to share your feelings about Warding off Jews for Jesus. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
