LaHaye is a hypocrite: the fundies often call the Roman Catholic Church "the Whore of Babylon" (from Revelation).

The Roman Catholic bishops of Illinois are condemning the best-selling, Christian-themed Left Behind books as "anti-Catholic."

For those who call our Church "the Whore of Babylon" I have a site for you: http://www.catholic.com/library/whore_of_babylon.asp I am a Catholic and I am sick of anti-catholicism in this country.

Hello, person-named-Philadelphia-Eagles. Please keep in mind that it said 'some' people call the church Whores of Babylon. Not 'all', nor 'the people reading this'. Of course no one here is calling the Roman Catholic Church 'The Whores of Babylon'. So very few people will be interested in the link you offered. Sorry, had to get that out of my system. I've never read the Left Behind books, so I can't judge. I'll definitaly check them out now though.

I said "for those" I didn't mean everyone. There are more anti-catholics on the internet than you think. An anti-catholic could find this site very easy. So I just had to say something wheather I find an anti-catholic or not.

Hm. I'm a doubting Catholic. Used to consider myself atheist, but have since found that catholicism is working for me. I was an atheist when I read the Left Behind series. Though LaHaye doesn't like Catholics, nothing in Left Behind is anti-catholic. Yes, there's a bishop that becomes the antichrist's right hand man. However, that was really just interesting backstory. That's also the only time the Catholic Church is mentioned, aside from a few comments here and there which have nothing to really do with anything.

Feel free to share your feelings about Left Behind anti-Catholic. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
