On June 27, a psychic who called herself Victoria told a 64-year-old Greeley woman that her money was cursed and needed to be cleansed. The victim said she gave Victoria $4,900 in cash and wrote a check for another $33,000, which was all the money she had in the bank after her husbands recent death.
The victim said she was told to return to Victoria on July 5 and get her money and the check back, with the curse removed. When the woman went to the house where she first met Victoria, the apartment had been cleaned out and the psychic was gone.
