Blue Stuff products, which made more than $80 million last year and highlight emu oil as one of their principal healing ingredients, have primarily been available online and through a well-known 30-minute infomercial campaign. Recently, more than 4,000 CVS pharmacies around the country began stocking the company’s flagship Blue Stuff and Super Blue Stuff creams.
The success was tempered by the company’s recent $3 million payment to the Federal Trade Commission, which accused Blue Stuff Inc. of making false claims about its products’ benefits.

McClung also has a Christian aid foundation, the Loyd B. McClung Foundation, which has established missions worldwide. He said he uses the missions to find and buy the unusual goods for the store.
