No reason why only religious parents are given a right

Miseducation , • Skeptics & Atheists

John Shiffman in the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Parents who object to school uniforms in one Salem County school district may opt out of the requirement on religious grounds if they get a note from a rabbi, pastor or imam.

So where does that leave an atheist who objects to the district's red, white and khaki uniforms?

Atheist sues over school uniforms

Comments

Y'know what the problem w/ atheism is -> it's like nihilism. It makes a big hole & fills it w/ bull-sh*t. It's hard to get yr head around something when all you know is what it's not. There can be 9 million reasons why you don't recognize a male anthropomorphic deity. In that case, you would count as an atheist. But wtf do you propose instead? How could uniforms offend a dis-belief? NUKKAS!

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about No reason why only religious parents are given a right. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
