Gallup pollsters have been asking people about the issue for a couple of decades, and the answers have remained the same:
About 45 percent agree that "God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so." About 37 percent agree that "Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process." About 12 percent chose "Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God had no part in this process."
