I'd noted my fascination with that master of the twisted syllogism, Dr. Alan Keyes, PhD, as always running for some office to which he won't be elected. I'd find his semi-hemi-demi rationalism amusing even if he weren't a violent homophobe and all purpose Republican wacko who is so right wing crazy that you are tempted to think he's the invention of some fevered liberal Democrat imagination.

More soberly I can feel for Maya Keyes, having such a man as a father. But my less empathetic side can't help but gloat that the old fool has a gay daughter. Pity it didn't teach him a particle of humane sympathy.

Check this out. In what is apparently Alan Keyes' daughter's blog, there's an account of someone coming up to her at a campaign event, noticing her rainbow bracelet.

Keyes daughter in the blogosphere?

Assuming that this story is legitimate, then Maya Keyes posted onto a publicly accessible part of the net a photo of herself kissing another girl. Assuming that this story is legimiate, Maya Keyes made multiple blog posts referencing her own homosexuality.

And, no, this isn't an "outing." She's out. If people post their personal information on public websites, then that information is "public."

Alan Keyes daughter is gay - what a huge hoot. The lesbian daughters and sisters of Republican politicians are becoming increasingly well-known. Makes you wonder just how deeply in the closet the gay male sons, nephews and brothers of Republican senators and governors must be.
