The only reason these bishops and co are against same sex marriages is because they are secretly homosexuals themselves and are too ashamed to come out. If my priest is gay, I don't care, I will not be in the bedroom with him anyway, no matter which sex he prefers. I would only be against him being with another man if I secretly wanted him for myself and so seeing him with a MAN would confirm that I did not stand a chance in the world. At one point these same people were against female priests and everything under the sun. They need to update to the 21st century. They probably still believe women shouldn't speak in church.

Why do gay people want to participate in an institution that was created by God? God created marriage, and that same God defined what marriage is to be. Between one man and one woman. Of course Christians should take a stand against this blasphemy of gay marriages. If gays wish to create their own institution to validate their union, then do so, but do not corrupt God's.

i think that gay marriage will not ruin the economy ... Yes i am a catholic and yes i think that gay marriage is ok . they are people just likw us nad they deserve to be as happy has us . i think that they should get married . the only thin stopping them is that stupid banning thing

Check out whitley streiber's site www.unknowncountry.com - he has an article on www.unknowncountry.com saying science is supposedly very close to identifying the gene sequence in our DNA that tends to cause homosexuality - it is apparently closely associated to increased procreative capability and the science and the population data converge on this. Gay offspring seem to occur frequently in larger families where the female has been successful in propogating at a higher rate. They liken it to the sickle cell gene where the positive effect it has is protecting us from malaria, the downside is some of us get sick. The upside is some survive malaria. With the gay gene, the upside is increase fecundity, the supposed downside is a gaggle of us faggots as a side effect. Ain't nature complex & beautiful? And you get your house remodeled fabulously and tastefully as a side (ok, may just a little over the top) but the main effect is successful propagation of the species.

I'm a very strong Christian and believe homosexuality is wrong. I don't hate those that are gay or that disagree with me though. God says to love one another as He loves us and i tr my best to do that. I'm one of those people that witness God's name and His word to others. I know people dont always like that but that's ok. Gay marriage is wrong and should be baned especially in a country God created. AMERICA. God Bless you all.

I dont hate gays either, I hate what they do. The Bible very specifically says that marriage is sanctified between a man and a woman. Not only that but it speaks against sodomy. Gay marriage is wrong, and gay lifestyle is wrong. People argue that they cant help it if they are gay, well I personally believe that is a bunch of bull because the Bible says, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." How many gays are not just professing Christ but trying to live the Christian lifestyle that are carrying on a relationship with Christ? My point exactly.

My point being that gays having an effect on the economy shouldnt even be an issue in the United States because we should all be God Fearing citizens who are walkin hand in hand with Christ, as so should the rest of the world!

If you don't allow marrige, they may be more tempted by gay prostitution like The National Field Director and deputy political director for the Republican National Committee Daniel Gurley who solicited unprotected sex and multiple sex partners in an online profile at Gay.com. His adult chat profile soliciting men for unprotected sex and said he has sex three to five times weekly. Wouldn't it be better if he could find one partner for a lifetime?

Before I want to say that I am strongly anticatholic and I make a lot of money investing. Yes, I think gay marriage will destroy the economy. The reason is this: all the people that consider gay marriage wrong will withdraw all their money from countries as Netherland, Belgium and Spain. They will be careful not buying anything that comes from or is related with these countries. This is free will, that means: with their money people support the states in which they belive. More, the citizens of these countries that agree with the catholic point of view will work aganst the governament to show that there is the need of a change. This means bad economy! Now if you have 1Bln$ where are you going to invest it? In Spain, where a new "modern" governament decided to go against a big part of its catholic population with the goal of defend and teach the egoistic "rights" of the few; or in Italy, Austria, Switzerland... where the peolpe that belive in traditional values will put their money and will work more to defend their values? I already move all my money from gays to real men countries. Everybody that is not stupid will do the same very soon. I forgot, I am also a PhD in math! If you have money better if you follow the suggestion. Last time I suggested to my friend to convert all their dollars in euros was some years ago when the exchange was 1-1, I gave him a chance. Belive or not this is reality!

Hear, hear! Gay marriage will destroy the entire economy. Why, it is just perfectly obvious. Just think about it. It is perfectly obvious. Just consider the facts. All the facts, such as... Oh, I won't insult your intelligence by listing all the many obvious ways in which gay marriage will ruin the economy and everything, because they are all just too obvious. They are so obvious that all I need to do is state how obvious they are in order to win the argument. Any fool can see that two men who got "married" would ruin everything. Why, just the thought of two men with hairy backs doing you-know-what is enough to destroy the national infrastructure and probably cause air traffic control problems, resulting in jet crashes and the deaths of millions of innocent peole. It's obvious. Just think about those two hairy-backed men and their perversities. Well, maybe not with hairy backs. But with dark hair on their heads, yes, definitely. It just gives me the pip. And with big muscles. It is just disgusting. Ruinatious. Strong hands stroking male flesh... ugh! I just can't even think about it any more. The horror of two men, married, doing who-knows-what alone at night, with hot sweaty thrusts and...... NO! I can't endure it. I have to go. Sorry.

if gay marriage is right based on the fact that human beings have the right to determine their own moral will in relation to marriage. it follows that polygamy by the same standards is also right.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Gay marriage will destroy the economy. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments.
