From Botswana comes an unusual explanation of witchcraft:
Dingaka Tsa Setso Association President Lesegolame Semathu confirmed the high level of witchcraft in Botswana. He said each tribe uses it differently.
He pointed out that there are two types of witchcraft - one based on hatred, jealousy, selfishness and envy, while the other is the opposite. The first form, where people use evil to hurt one another is the most dangerous, but also the most common.
Semathu added that God had intentionally created witchcraft to make life more dramatic. Life would be very boring without ups and downs, he said.
