The Da Vinci Code plagarized from The Da Vinci Legacy?

Hodgepodge , • The Da Vinci Code

I honestly don't really care but The Da Vinci Code has inspired fresh waves of nuttiness who can distinguish a novel from a history book.

Computer columnist John Dvorak says he know Lewis Perdue and that he is an honest man.

Author Lewis Perdue has been in the midst of a legal battle over alleged plagiarism and the best-selling DaVinci Code. You have to read all of this material to appreciate the problem. The problem is that the DaVinci Code has sold an ungodly number of books and nobody would ever want to admit that the material was lifted from another book, if it indeed was lifted. In this case Perdue says it was lifted from his book, the DaVinci Legacy.

I thought Da Vinci Code borrowed from Holy Blood, Holy Grail. Well, I haven't read Da Vince Legacy, or Da Vinci Code either. Holy Blood, Holy Grail is a loony romp throughout Europe. Picking up questionable clues, then using the worst chop logic to reach an unwarranted conclusion, that's the best way to describe it.
Thanks for mentioning the battle with Random House. One of the more interesting developments in their last filing is that they threw in the towel on some substantial issues rather than have Dan Brown file an affidavit attesting that he actually wrote Da Vinci Code or did the "extensive" research he claims.
Danny, My only interest in the novel is that it is just a potboiler that continues to sell like crazy after almost two years and gullible people take it so seriously. Though if Lewis Perdue is correct I wish him the best in getting his due.
Lewis, If Dan Brown stole your work he should certainly give you a portion of the tremendous wealth the novel has given him.
Danny, If I get anything, my wife and I have decided that most or all goes to charity. Check out http://www.booksnblues.org for my main charity focus right now. These folks won't have to worry about helping folks if I do get something from this.
