Christian ministers turn to cyber dating

Hodgepodge

The story of one young Christian minister's attempt to meet a woman via online dating.

Then, he hastens to assure people that they don't have to be of his faith or even believe in God. In his profile, in describing the faith of the woman he is looking for, Gilvin lists everything from Islam to atheist and "spiritual but not religious." His only requirement for a girlfriend is that she respect his calling and understand that it is an important part of his life.

Getting dates isn't easy for single ministers

As a theology student myself, I understand the obstacles he is dealing with. Most guys are intimidated when I tell them that I've been a minister of music, a youth pastor, etc., and that I plan to pursue a doctorate in theology. I think it's scary for them. A lot of guys are used to dating girls and treating them like sex objects and that's impossible to do when the girl he is taking to dinner and a movie happens to be on the very closest of terms with The Man Upstairs. I'm trying to keep an open mind and trust that the right man is still out there.....somewhere.
I WOULD LIKE TO MEET A MINISTER. THAT LOVES THE LORD. I WOULD'NT WANT TO CHANGE THAT. FOR I AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. AND I WOULD LOVE TO BE A MINISTERS WIFE. TO HELP PEOPLE LOOK FOR THE LORD AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT THE WORLD THINKS. WHERE WOULD I MEET THIS MAN OF ARE LORD AT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I NEVER BEEN MARRIED YET. BUT I'VE BEEN PRAYING ALOT ABOUT THIS. THANK YOU FOR READING MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Christian ministers turn to cyber dating. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
