Passion of Christ plague

Christian Pop Culture

Artist and theologian Mel Gibson filmed The Passion of the Christ in Matera. I guess the Lord is a tougher reviewer than Pauline Kael.

Millions of locusts swarmed into the ancient stone city, scaring tourists off outdoor patios, and evoking some playful comparisons to Old Testament plagues.

Comments

"Artist and theologian". Mel Gibson may be a lot of things to a lot of people, but I struggle to define him as either artist or theologian.
