Halloween or is it Helloween?

Cheap Laughs , • Christian Pop Culture

Pointers to some of prior years Halloween entries, mostly looking at American Christian fundamentalist discomfort with and exploitation of the Halloween holiday. The only sensible view of Halloween is that it exists to line the pockets of costume and candy makers.

And I thought it was yet another excuse for adults to dress outrageously and get drunk. (Personally, I stay home on such occasions.)
I tend to forget how it is changed since I was a kid. Back then it was strictly kids going trick or treating. I don't think any of my friends celebrate it. They like you stay away from such shennanigans.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Halloween or is it Helloween?. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
