One retailer notes that sales of crowns of thorns are up 240%, praise the Lord and pass the cash.

MILWAUKEE (Wireless Flash) -- Passions are running high over The Passion of the Christ -- including a passion for costumes in the image of Christ.

In fact, one online retailer which sells biblical costumes is reporting that sales of Jesus wigs, masks and robes are up 86 percent since Mel Gibson's movie first hit theaters.

I wonder how much of this increase is due to naughty infidels who dress up as the sky-fairy family to attend the screening? We were thinking of doing that-it got a bit out of hand when one of us wanted to portray Judas, complete with bag of coins and gory effects and somehow the conversation seems to have included condoms, no idea how.

I'd like to think that people are buying Jesus drag for orgies. For Judas you'd need a styrofoam millstone to wear around your neck.
