Would Jesus wear a tattoo?

Christian Fundamentalism

Mike Anton in the Los Angeles Times reports on the latest thing in Christian popular culture: tatoos.

"All this glorifies God," Wells said, showing some of the 20 images of Jesus, dozens of angels and colorful depictions of spiritual warfare that cover most of his body. "I didn't do this for myself. I never planned to do this. I believe God ordained it."

Being a Christian means you can blame your whims on God.

To anyone who has ever asked the question, What would Jesus do if he picked a tattoo?, the answer could be found Saturday at the Rock of Ages tattoo festival in Orange.

Jesus would probably have cited the prohibition against graven images.

Why???!!!! Why???!!!! do people stop at differences?? so a tattoo-less person probably form the south and white says tattoos are bad, mumble mubmle muakdublhyulblh. Who cares if christians have tattoos, why?! why?! Does the markings on the CHRISTS fore head and his hands count as some kind of decoration???????????, seven places he bled for us, seven!
Tattoos are quit popular down here in the Bible belt. Do you really expect serious answers on a weblog devoted to laughing at UFO nuts, religious believers and other deluded people?
Why not expect serious answers? Objective truth lives and must be realized. I enjoy reading what people think and how they feel about subjects. This is one place that I will definately get one particular opinion and it appears that comments are welcome. The whole idea of Christ and tattoos is silly. Tattoos represent different things to different people. Some do it for a sexual rush and others do it to express themselves. Tattoos are a worldly and carnal expression stating that I live life for the hear and now. I feel Christians should be more focused on spiritual matters and stop wasting valuable time with such trivial issues. It is interesting to me that those who laugh and call names, get upset when they are on the receiving end. They are many people searching for answers and I think that the search for truth is serious. if more people stopped laughing and starting thinking the world would change tomorrow.
Isaiah 44 talks about expressions of faith in the future. It says that one person will say he or she belongs to God, another will change his or her name, and yet another will write on his or her hand "The Lord's" . That sounds like a tattoo to me. That is the beauty of the age we live in. Choose for yourself how to honor God based on the relationship you have with him.
Who the heck cares if Christians get tatooes? I knwo I don't. My asst. Youth Pastor's wife has a tatoo, and noone cares. Many people at my church have tatoes. I am planing on getting one. There is nothing wrong with it. Get over it!
Jesus may or may not wear ink, but I bet He rides a custom chopper!!
I heard that when Jesus comes back that he will have a tatoo on his right arm of a dragon. My friend has heard this too. I want to know if it true and what might happen.

YE SHALL NOT MAKE CUTTINGS IN YOUR FLESH, NOR PRINT MARKS ON YOU FOR THE DEAD ....I AM THE LORD
What a question! Would Jesus wear a tat too? I mean what the heck is a tat anyway? I don't know anyone who has one, let alone wears it. How are we supposed to respond to this... What? Oh, tattoo! Nevermind. Roseanne
