A 1992 Barna Research poll found that the idea of a Second Coming of Jesus Christ is real to seven out of 10 Americans. That poll was taken shortly after the 1991 war with Iraq, when some evangelicals identified Saddam Hussein as the Antichrist and smoke from Kuwait's burning oil wells as fulfillment of Mark 13:25 - "the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light."

This is the first time I've visited your blog. It does a great job of pulling together in one place a lot of material about superstitious beliefs and practices that are still prevalent in our society.
