Satan's pet turtle?

Cheap Laughs

They say God works in mysterious ways. So too must the Devil if he for some reason put his face on the back of a turtle that survived a fire. Better than another Virgin Mary apparition.

Owner Bryan Dora now says he sees Satan's face on the critter's shell. He can spot lips, eyes, a goatee, shoulders and a pair of pointy horns on Lucky's back.

"The marking on the shell was like the devil wanted us to know he was down there," Bryan Dora said. "To me, it's too coincidental that the only thing to come out unscathed would have this image on it."

Well at least it's not half a sandwhich. How much do satan's turtles go for on ebay anyway?
This turtle is not Satan's. I've seen the picture of it. You can take whatever you want from that picture. That, and nobody knows for sure what the turtle looked like before the fire. I haven't seen any pictures of it from before the fire. Also, since no person has seen Satan or has a picture of him, what does he look like? Does he really have horns? He wasn't believed to have until Dante's Inverno was written. Until then, he was believed to look just like everyone else. So why is it that something that has an interesting design on it is being called the work of Satan because it survived a fire? As I recall, Satan was/is the angel of temptation and punishment. What does a turtle surviving a fire have to do with temptation or punishment for a human unless it's tempting the human with greed. Which, if he is, he succeeded because this human, the owner, is now becoming semi-famous for this incident.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Satan's pet turtle?. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
