Santa Jesus

Cheap Laughs

I'm half tempted to put this in blasphemy is fun. I've long thought something like this would be neat, but not to promote the gospel. Or a manger scene with Santa in the sanctified crib.

AN advertising campaign which shows baby Jesus dressed in a Father Christmas outfit has set off an unholy row.

The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, has hit out against the poster, which will appear on billboards across the country.

But others in the Anglican Church have praised it, saying it gets people thinking about the real meaning of Christmas.

It shows a classical manger scene with the caption: "Go on, ask him for something this Christmas."

Anglicans are middle-of-the-road wimps:

Andrew Ballard, Archdeacon of Rochdale, said: "I thought it was striking and thought provoking, although the caption is a bit confusing."
