Football as sinful as lust!

You never know what Biblical literalism will produce. I hope the Dallas Cowboys, almost as famous for their piety as their cheerleaders will consider this at their next team prayer meeting.

DALLAS (Wireless Flash) -- Fans of the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts may be praising the heavens for their teams' playoff victories -- but they're committing an ungodly sin in the eyes of God.

That somber news comes courtesy of theology expert Kevin Orlin Johnson, who says sports like football, wrestling or even chess are not compatible with Christian beliefs such as "Turn the other cheek."

Johnson says ancient Christian documents dictate that "vanquishing your opponent with no purpose stirs up the sin of anger the same way pornography promotes lust."

Wow. That's deep, Johnson. Doesn't sound much like an 'expert' to me...I sincerely doubt (as your run-of-the-mill fundie) that 'turn the other cheek' is referring to the 'vanquishing' that occurs in football...or chess...
