Wine bibbing priests want chauffeurs

Catholic

Croatian Catholic priests say the new anti-drunk driving laws in Croatia make them need chauffeurs. Just take one tiny sip at each communion guys.

The priests want $12 million a year to hire chauffeurs as they can no longer drive between churches where they must sip wine, the Jutarnji List said.

"During holy mass we need to drink wine as a symbol of the blood of Christ," one of the priests told the newspaper.

$12m ???? What are they hiring, stretched limousines with built-in mini-bar?? Why dont they do what the rest of Europe does and take on lay ministers who can help them drink it - at least that way they can have a party, drinking is no fun on your own!
This is a bs article. No Catholic priest would call Eucharist a symbol, they believe in real presence.
