Monsignor Peter Fleetwood vs the new age

Catholic

The report says the Roman Catholic Church is fighting everything from boredom to a plain inability to believe its nonsense. Their strategy: fight the competing balderdash.

Among the list of practices worrying the pope-lovers: Jewish kabbalah espoused by Madonna, Enneagrams, Sufism, medieval alchemy, Renaissance hermeticism, Yoga, Zen Buddhism.

Quite a list, no? While I'm no friend of the other nonsense I'm strongly in favor of seeing the crazy belief systems splinter into as many fragments as possible. I wish I thought the church has as much to worry about as fear-monger Monsignor Peter Fleetwood suggests.

"Astrologers believe that the Age of Pisces - known to them as the Christian age - is drawing to a close," explained an exhaustive report on the New Age produced by the Catholic church last year. And as priests around the world watch their congregations dwindle through boredom or plain disbelief, the Church believes that the moment has come to fight back.

I'm so hoping that the Roman Catholics and the New Agers battle it out so hard that they destroy each other.
Has this guy heard of the Freedom of religion act in the Constitution of the United States, I know it only goes for citezens of the USA but still, this guy thnks because he is high in the Catholic church he can dictate what we all think. I think not.......he needs to mind his own buisness. Let the people decide what we believe in. I am Pagan and very proud to be a pagan!!!!!!!!! In my opinion only, I think this Peter Fleetwood, should mind his own buisness!!!!! Carpe Nachtem EmHotep Sokar Thorn

Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
