Amanda Louis William's father gave a charlatan a car, money, a computer and finally Amanda.
"Later, the godman told her father that Amanda was his wife in his earlier life and if he did not allow their reunion, the entire family will go insane. William came to India and married off his daughter on April 15, 2004," Rajan Lakshmanan, an advocate, who helped the family, told HT.
Once married, Amanda was confined in the ashram. "At times I was starved, physically assaulted and forced to do all odd jobs. Some of acts were beyond any words," Amanda said.
