Oral sex 'cancer cure' hurts women

Absurd Inurbane Witless

I suspected that "Fellatio is miracle cure" would have a long life.

LARCHMONT, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2003--Claiming that fellatio might decrease the risk of breast cancer in women, the story that appeared on CNN's website early this month is still being taken seriously. "We are receiving many calls and expressions of painful concern as a result of this cruel hoax," said Mary Ann Liebert, publisher of Journal of Women's Health, a peer-reviewed journal published in print and online www.liebertpub.com/jwh. "Whoever is responsible has a total lack of compassion and flagrant disregard for both women who have breast cancer and for any woman who fears this disease, which, in fact, is every woman."

Hoax Relating Oral Sex and Breast Cancer on CNN is Cruel Mockery of Women's Health, says Mary Ann Liebert, publisher of Journal of Women's Health

Liebert is in error. The story did not appear on CNN's website. It was a page hosted at NCSU over in Raleigh that was designed to fool the inattentive into thinking they were at CNN.
