Mel Gibson & BabyJesus
• Absurd Inurbane Witless , • Christian Pop Culture
As many folks know middle-brow Aussie hunk Mel Gibson is making a movie about the life of Christ. It is very ambitious and even commercially risky since the dialogue will be in the original tongue (not that anyone alive know what 1st century Aramaic sounded like). Maybe there really isn't any monetary risk. The fundies are pissing themselves so excitedly that a few million of them may go see it and make it the biggest movie since Harry Potter, Spider-Man or whatever.
In skimming the blogosphere I've seen a number of innocent bloggers citing an short bit in World Nut News Daily that poor Mel is being harassed by parties unknown because he's making a movie about Jesus and repeating it as though it has passed through respectable fact-checking. It could just as easily be a bit of PR spin, paranoia or the attentions of a celebrity stalker.
People are so gullible. Well, yes, that is the theme of this weblog.
Mel Gibson may be one of them, he won't say: Vatican II: Jewish-Masonic conspiracy
Mel Gibson says his wife may be going to Hell: Mel Gibson: extra ecclesiam nulla sallus
