Left Behind as Satire

A possible alternative way to read the Left Behind series:

I’ve often thought that if you read the Left Behind books as satire, they are much more entertaining. But maybe that’s just my prejudice. The problem with this is they were not intended as satire, a fact that leaves a hollow pit in the stomach of the reader who realizes this, realizes he is on the ‘enemy’ side. For I am on that enemy side, the side of evil described by these books. Most of you reading this probably are as well, as is most of humanity.
